Central Ohio Network Meeting: Integrating Care
Thursday, June 3, 2010 - Ohio State University, Fawcett Center
Registration begins 9:30 a.m.; Workshop is from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
This event will offer opportunities for regional networking, as well as exploration of emerging and existing practices of integrating physical and behavioral healthcare. Through presentation, discussion and sharing attendees will learn about current efforts in Franklin and surrounding counties, and be introduced to resources for starting or furthering integration efforts. An overview of integrated care best practices, and program implementation will be discussed from a national and statewide perspective. Panels of local stakeholders will discuss their plans, share ideas on developing relationships and identifying community needs to integrate care and improve outcomes.
Attendees will:
- Learn about the emerging models and resources for integrating care
- Review local behavioral health provider integrated care programs
- Identify local experts in data and related resources for identification of need, advocacy and improvement efforts in integration
- Network with local “integrated care stakeholders”

This event is not a billing/coding “training”, but an opportunity to come together and identify common understanding and areas for further development. The goals for the day include:
- Identify the common billing/coding practices for Primary Care in Behavioral Health and Behavioral Health in Primary Care
- Identify and share “lessons learned” about common barriers and areas of confusion for integrated care billing/coding
- Identify an action agenda for billing/coding and related processes for the Ohio Coordinating Center for Care (OCCIC)
Thank you to all of the attendees! The group has agreed to continue to assist OCCIC in developing the identified tools and resources. Look for information next quarter.
